Open Works Festival presents Text, Rules, Improvisation & Performance. Tim Etchells , artistic director of Sheffield’s Forced Entertainment , leads the group in a set of exercises, games and experiments exploring improvisation, working with text, new approaches to performance. In Etchells ’ work using rules opens up a zone of playful possibility - performers learn to make decisions in real time, co-operating to shape and steer the performance moment.
